  • Pioneering the provision of advanced educational programs and sober and innovative scientific research that contribute to community service and fulfill the requirements of the labor market.

Mission
  • Preparing teachers of the secondary education stage (10-12) through programs to prepare the physics teacher in the secondary stage before and during service, who are distinguished by their teaching skills and creative abilities, who are able to innovate and compete in the local and regional labor market.

Goals
  • 1. Qualifying physics teachers and preparing them before service, by providing programs to prepare the specialization teacher in the secondary stage through developed, high-quality programs. 2. Contributing the training of in-service physics teachers, through professional development programs that contribute to the development of positive skills, values and attitudes towards the teaching profession and towards promoting the principle of lifelong learning. 3. Providing consultations by the department professors and through the participation of faculty members in conferences and workshops dedicated to discussing educational issues related to the development of science curricula, teaching methods and strategies. 4. Implementing educational research related to science curricula and teaching them according to modern teaching methods, strategies and models. 5. Serving the community and its educational institutions and educational research centers through the implementation of studies and the provision of consultations that contribute to the development of educational practices in the field and addressing any imbalance in the education system. 6. Developing physics teacher preparation programs in line with international standards and meeting the community’s needs for qualified teachers to teach various disciplines at all academic levels, and providing the required educational expertise to help other colleges to develop their programs.
