Development and Quality Assurance Center

The Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center was established in the academic year 1444 AH corresponding to 2022 AD with the aim of supervising the development of the academic performance of faculty members and evaluating their performance. As a result of the rapid developments and the endeavor of Al Mahwit University to develop its inputs, processes and outputs in line with national, regional and international standards, the work of the center has been expanded to include the development, follow-up and quality assurance in all faculties, units and centers of the university.

Providing the appropriate environment that works to activate the quality and excellence system through applying international standards in university education, scientific research and community service to ensure excellence in university performance.

Goals

1.Develop a comprehensive strategy to ensure the quality of academic programs at the university based on the existence of internal quality assurance standards that take into account international standards. 2.Spreading and deeping the culture of quality among all employees at the university and consolidating the concepts of development and modernization. 3.Developing the academic and research skills of faculty members. 4.Supervising the strategic planning process at the university and the process of preparing the strategic plan and following up the preparation and implementation of the executive plans of the various units. 5.Work on developing academic plans and programs to ensure that they take into account the latest developments. 6.Taking into account quality assurance standards when developing academic programs. 7.Accreditation and assurance of the local and international quality for the university's academic programmes. 8.Encouraging the scientific research process among faculty members and research centers. 9.Interacting with local society institutions on accreditation and quality assurance issues. 10.Seeking for the university to take a distinguished position locally and globally in the international rankings of universities.
