Mahweet University

Mahweet University is a public institution within the structure of the Higher Education in Yemen meant for providing qualitative and distinctive scientific specializations that keep up with all national needs, the university based on the educational quality in accordance with the international standards.

Al Mahweet University aspires to excellence in providing educational, research and community services and deepening knowledge at the local, regional and global levels.

Advancing the scientific, cultural and civilizational level, and providing a teaching and learning environment that meets quality standards and contributes to sustainable development efforts and to provide distinguished research services in light of a fruitful partnership based on creativity and professionalism, which contributes to building and developing a knowledge society and foreseeing the future.

Goals

1-Providing specialized and in-depth study opportunities for students in various fields of knowledge in order to meet the country's needs for disciplines, technicians and experts. 2- Developing knowledge by conducting research and scientific studies in various fields, whether individually or collectively, and directing them to serve the needs of society and development plans. 3- Paying attention to the development of technology and benefiting from it in the improvement of society. 4- Encouraging the movement of authorship, translation and publishing in various fields of knowledge, with a special focus on the Yemeni heritage. 5- Providing an academic climate conducive to freedom of thought, expression and publication in a way that does not contradict Islam and its lofty values and ideals. 6- Strengthening scientific and cultural ties with universities, scientific bodies, and local, Arab, and foreign research and development centers, in a way that helps develop the university and enhance its position. 7-Activating the university’s developmental and pioneering role to serve the community and contribute to solving its problems. 8- Providing an attractive university environment that achieves creativity and academic and professional excellence. 9- Developing academic programs and developing quality programs (university - postgraduate studies) that meet development plans and labor market needs. 10- Upgrading the skills and capabilities of faculty members, the assistant staff and the university’s administrative staff by through the preparation and implementation of training programs in various academic, administrative and technical fields. 11- Achieving quality assurance standards in all academic and administrative units of the university, to reach excellence in the educational process and institutional work and to achieve advanced positions in classifications locally and internationally.
